Still life Copenhagen

Wednesday July 13th, 2011, 18:18

I had my four days of summer holiday and we spent it in Copenhagen. During those 3,5 days we actually managed be in the city I was distracted from photography by a certain *cough* video project. In addition to many single shots I was mildly pleased with but which didn’t have much to do with each other, these were the only photos that formed some kind of coherent series. If someone missed that link between them I’m more than happy to underline it: despite the liveliness of Copenhagen there’s no people in these photos.

That’s very un-characteristical for me since I usually wait for people to arrange something photographically interesting and then I just press the button. But this time there’s no-one.

And photos without people are still life, right?

And still life is of course immediately profound art.

Which makes me a you-know-what.

Feel free to differ.

  1. Tuolirinki on hieno! Pystyn pienellä vaivalla kuvittelemaan työporukan, joka tupakkatauollaan kehään saapuu. Pyöreä, tiiviskatseinen mies, tarinaniskijä jumalan armosta, istuu punaisella työtuolilla, ihan reunalla ja kertoo vereviä ja räävittömiä juttuja. Kerääntynyt seurakunta kuuntelee vuoroin kauhistellen, vuoroin hyväksyvästi murahdellen. Kaiken yllä on kelmeä valo.

  2. Siis emmä osaa oikeen analysoida, mutta sinä olet Konsta niin super vangitsemaan tilanteita!

  3. Jarkko: Punainen tuoli nostatti hymyn munkin huulille, ihme hierarkia.

Laura: Heh, nää tilanteet eivät varsinaisesti kiirehtineet vangitsemista karkuun :D
